Senior dating safety: flirt freely, stay sharp.

You’ve been around long enough to smell a rat. Here’s what we do on our side, the one rule worth knowing by heart, and where to report a scam in your country.

Our money rule

Never send money to anyone you meet online. Whatever the story.

Gift cards, crypto, a “customs fee”, a plane ticket, a sick relative, an investment that just needs a little bridging. Different story, same ending. Anyone who asks gets no further reply, and a report.

Spot it early

Five lines that deserve a smile and the block button

  • Let’s move to WhatsApp, it’s easier. Rushing you off the site, where nobody’s keeping an eye out. We’ll flag it too.
  • I’m working overseas at the moment. An oil rig, a peacekeeping mission, a contract abroad: always a reason they can’t meet.
  • I’ve never felt like this before. In week one. Flattering, and a classic.
  • My camera’s broken again. Months of messages and never a video call.
  • I’ve found a brilliant investment. Any mention of money, crypto or trading. That’s the moment to stop.
What we do on our side

The safety tools built into the site

Know who’s real

  • ID verification: optional and free. Members who verify get a badge on their profile.
  • Video verification: a short live video check with a moderator, no documents needed.
  • Age checks: age is estimated automatically, with extra checks where the law requires them.

You stay in control

  • Your name stays private: other members see your username, not your real name or email.
  • Your address stays private: members see your nearest town or city, nothing closer.
  • Block anyone, straight away, and they can no longer contact you.
  • Report a profile or message from inside the site, in a couple of taps.

Eyes on the room

  • Screening: photos, videos and profile text are checked on upload by AI and human moderators.
  • Pattern spotting: AI watches for unusual activity, to catch scammers and bots early.
  • Off-site alerts: attempts to move a chat to WhatsApp and similar apps are detected, and you get a warning.
  • Explicit images are blurred, with a warning, until you choose to look.
Behind the scenes: a member rating system based on behaviour and feedback, one-click feedback after you chat, a support team on hand 24/7, PCI-compliant hosting with SSL encryption, and work with the Online Dating and Discovery Association on industry safety standards.

Verification is optional, so not every member has a badge. Look for it, or ask for a video call.

The first date

The grown-up version

  • Video call first if it’s been all messages. Two minutes tells you plenty.
  • Meet somewhere public: coffee, a walk, a long lunch. Get yourself there and home again.
  • Tell a friend where you’ll be. Not because you’re fragile; because it’s what sensible people of any age do.
  • Keep the first one short. If it’s good, the second will be better.
If something’s off

Report it to us, and to the people who chase scammers

Use the report button on the profile or message, or our support form (choose “Report a member”). If you’ve lost money or shared bank details, call your bank first, then report it in your country:

Questions

Senior dating safety FAQ

Is every member verified?

No. ID and video verification are free and optional. Members who verify get a badge, so you can see who has taken the trouble.

Can other members see where I live?

No. They see your nearest town or city, not your address.

What if someone asks me for money?

Stop replying, block them and report the profile. Then, if you’ve already sent anything, call your bank and report it using the links above.

Who do I contact about a problem?

Our support team, through the support form. The help page has the rest.

Safe, not stuffy.

Now go and enjoy yourself.
